Author Chat With Andy: Guest Author, Alex J. Adams

Welcome to another week of Author Chat with me. Today we have a relatively new author who managed to impress the readers in the genre with her series Nava Dance Studios. Soon, Alex J. Adams has a new book coming in January which is already on preorder.

Let’s chat with Alex and get to know her more!

ACwA Guest: Alex J. Adams

How did the first story you ever wrote influence your career as an author and how do you feel about that story now?

Alex: The first story I wrote, Dance With Me, set me on a path I never thought I’d take. I had never written anything until January of this year but then sometimes, things just happen. I sat down and wrote it. Not sure how I feel about it now. Everyone still seems to love the story. It’s still going well, still getting good reviews. I think now I could write it better but I’ve been told to leave it alone!

Which of your characters is most like you (or someone close to you.)

Alex: Hazel in Dance With Me, is probably most like me. Feisty and sassy, and says what she means, no filter. I’m quite sure that a few people would agree with that comparison

What is your favorite trope and why?

Alex: I’m not sure I have a favourite. I love second chances, enemies to lovers and a good fake boyfriend story. It’s really hard to choose. Aso adore a jock/nerd book.

How many half-written stories are on your hard-drive and what do you plan to do with them?

Alex: Half written stories? I have a few, at least four at the moment but I’m hoping to release most of them next year. Book three of Nava Studios is begging to be written and I have started it.

What are you working on next?

Alex: I’m still putting the finishing touches to Saving Ziggy but I have a couple in the pipeline. The next one to release will probably be Vince’s story which I’m loving writing. I was listening to a song and the story just appeared in my head so I wrote it. I rarely plan.

Alex J. Adams’ Upcoming Release

BLURB

Ziggy

Leaving home four years ago was the best thing I could have done. Selling myself on the streets for the past two years, the worst, but what else was I to do? All I truly wanted was someone I could love and someone to love me in return. Was it really too much to ask?

Meeting him, the most handsome man ever, I thought all my prayers had been answered…..until they weren’t.

That man was almost the death of me.

Marc

An early call out changes my life forever. I can’t get him out of my head. I need to know his story, need to know what put him in the back of my ambulance, as close to death as he could be.

The more I know, the more I want him in my life, but is he too damaged? Too scarred at such an early age to let me love him as he deserves.

I’ve been burnt before but I won’t let that stop me this time. I need to make him see he can have it all, including me.

Saving Ziggy is a darker MM romance about a young male prostitute and the paramedic that saves him. Please heed the trigger warnings: This book features abuse, both verbal and physical and sexual assault

  1. Hello Alex! Nice getting to know you. Joe and Seb have a special place in my heart. I loved reading about them and their struggles to be together in the end. It’s was a sweet slow burn but melted my heart. I can’t wait to.see this new direction you’re going with Ziggy.
