Re-releases are almost as happy times as a new release. Something you worked hard to produce had been taken down, but is now available again.
Better Be Sure, with it’s sparkly new cover, is re-released day. Smiles and back slapping all around. Unlike most of my re-releases, however, this one is just a wee bit more exciting for me.
Buy on Amazon or read in KU:
This was always a collaboration between Anyta Sunday and myself, but Anyta wasn’t on the cover when Better Be Sure was released last year. This edition fixes that injustice.
Another big ‘new’ thing is that this was also always going to be at least a three book series. We’d written Better Have Heart and Better Be True but trouble with the publisher meant we got our rights back to all three in October of 2019.
So in addition to a new cover, Anyta’s name on the cover, and the rest of the series being available for sale this time, there’s one more bit of new news. Audio. All three books in the series will be available in audio, narrated by Nick J. Russo. Available, that is, when ACX finishes its review. Which is to say, I don’t know. (ACX is unpredictable in the best of times, and the pandemic is slowing them down a bit more lately)
Blurb
Orphan Jackson Murphy just staked his legacy on a bet.
Holy shit, his impulsive ass is in trouble.
Bring a guy to the fraternity formal? Pfft. Easy. Won’t be him getting kicked out of the house.
So what if his luck with guys on campus has been shitty? Ed Knowles is Jack’s winning ticket.
Tall, handsome, hardworking—and he doesn’t go to Harrison. One serendipitous meeting, and sparks—and coffee cups—are flying.
But with every stolen look, every secret kiss, every clandestine touch Ed becomes more than just an answer to a bet.
And these cloak-and-dagger meetings that set Jack on fire? They mask one tiny, enormous obstacle: Ed’s not out.
What does Jack do now?
Hold on to his legacy… or his heart?
“Better Be Sure” is a sweet, slow burn M/M romance with a heart-pounding HEA. This New Adult, college, opposite sides of the tracks novel can be read as a standalone and in any order.
