Better Have Heart is live today.
First, a huge thank you to my co-author and friend, Anyta Sunday. She helped me get started as an author, helped me land with my first publisher, and then helped be grow into a self-published author. I owe her so much, and mostly for taking the time to work with me on this series.
Better Have Heart has been a long time coming. When Antya and I began the series more than two years ago, the plan had been to have the publisher I was working with, publish it. But, as I’ve spoken about before, I’m not with that publisher anymore.
Nine months after getting the rights back, here we are. If I had to do over, I’d have never sent this to a publisher in the first place.
If authors get better with every book, hopefully that means so do series. I think Better Have Heart improves on Better Be Sure. But by all means, read them both, and make your own decision.
Every book has bits and pieces of the author in them, and I suspect this one has more bits of me than Anyta. In part that’s because the fraternity in the book is mine (sorry, not secret frat info is revealed) and Darren plays soccer, as I did in my youth. But alas, my family does not own an oil company, nor can I play music like either MC.
