Author Chat with Andy: Guest Author Joe Satoria

Good morning Gallorious Readers! Please welcome to Author Chat – Joe Satoria. I haven’t known Joe all that long, but I’ve followed him since he burst on the scene. He’s multi-talented, not only does he write, he does very cool artwork that he shows off in his group and his Patreon account. I recommend you check out both. Joe is also pretty prolific. This year he has published seven books, with an eighth one comin in less than two weeks. Lots to binge read now, with the promise of much more to come.

Check out his interview, enter his giveaway and then go stalk him everywhere you can on line.

Let’s chat with Joe.

ACwA Guest: Joe Satoria

  • How did the first story you ever wrote influence your career as an author and how do you feel about that story now?

The first story I wrote was when I was in high school. I was possibly fourteen at the time, but I thought it was going to change my entire life. I wanted that Christopher Paolini, young author sells millions of books, headline. Of course, it didn’t happen. That story now exists in a folder somewhere on a hard drive.

I didn’t start writing gay romance until 2014. I wrote a couple short stories; my sexuality was always something I liked to explore. I wrote in the genre on and off for a few years, until I decided at the end of last year, I needed to go ahead and make a go at it.

  • Which of your characters is most like you (or someone close to you.)

All my characters seem to have something of me in them. The one which is most like me would be Alexi from my most recent release. Alexi is anxious and shy. He gets flustered easily, and I find myself wanting to curl up in a ball most days watching TV and paying video games.
  • What is your favorite trope and why?

I enjoy exploring different tropes and combining them. I’m currently very into daddies and age gap. I like the dynamic between the characters, I like to slowly feel them become unwrapped from the character we meet in the first chapter.
  • What are you working on next?

I am working on the next ‘Daddy’s Boy’ book. It’s titled, A Daddy for Benito, and follows a character introduced in the first book. It’s about a bratty boy (he’s 25, but for trope sake it’s boy) who is searching for a dominant man—or daddy.

A Daddy for Alexi by Joe Satoria

Can Alexi find the daddy of his dreams?

Lonely and lost, Alexi Drake is looking for a caring hand. Starting a new job with the same anxieties, he doesn’t think he’ll ever feel wanted, let alone someone who will understand him. But will the kindness of a stranger change that?

Overworked and under-laid, Warren Raines is searching for someone special to share himself with. Touch is his love language. He’s armed with a giant stuffed teddy, and a need to please. Will he finally find someone to have fun with?

Dressed up and playing the part, they find something special… but can they complete each other?
